Welcome to SEEN:app ("the App"), part of the Seen Place ecosystem. By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, you should not use the App.

1. Purpose of the App

SEEN:app is a journaling and reflection tool. It is designed for self-exploration, emotional clarity, and reflection, not as medical, therapeutic, or legal advice.

The App does not provide professional counseling, medical treatment, or emergency services. If you are in crisis, please contact your local emergency number or crisis hotline.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App, you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. Privacy & Data

Your privacy is sacred. Journal entries are stored locally on your device, encrypted, and are not visible to Seen Place, its developers, or OpenAI/Anthropic. Please see our Privacy Policy for details.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App in good faith. You will not:

• Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the App.
• Use the App to harass, harm, or exploit others.
• Use the App in violation of applicable laws.

5. Intellectual Property

Your Content: Your journal entries belong to you. We make no claim to ownership of anything you write.

Our Content: The App's design, features, journaling prompts, and Fathom's responses are the property of Seen Place, LLC. You may not copy, distribute, or resell the App's content without permission.

6. No Warranty

The App is provided "as is" and "as available". While we strive for stability and accuracy, Seen Place makes no guarantees about uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or that the App will meet all personal needs.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Seen Place, LLC is not responsible for any damages arising from your use of the App. This includes emotional distress, data loss, or device issues.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are significant, we will post an updated version in the App. Continued use means you accept the revised Terms.
